Nellie Pearl Thatcher, 81, a resident of the Gypsum-Sweetwater area, died June 9 in Denver. Mrs. Thatcher was born the 11th child of Fred and Mary Well Zabel on November 16, 1899 in Cooksville, Ill. She grew up there, and later married John Thatcher on January 9, 1917 in St. Louis, Mo. They came to Denver in 1923 adn then in 1927 to Sweetwater, where the ranched. John died on January 22, 1973.

She is survived by one brother, Fred Zable of Ellsworth, Ill., four sons Williamt Thatcher of San Francisco, John Freeman Thatcher of Sunnyville, Calif, Wallace Thatcher of Golden. Internment at Cedar Hill.
