Imogene Inman Cunningham, 83, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, joined her "Precious Jesus" in her home at Parachute, Colorado, on Friday, December 21, 2018, after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born November 29, 1935, in Republic, Missouri to the late Otto and Tilda Jones Inman. Imogene completed her GED and continued on to beauty school. She was a hair stylist for many years. Imogene sang and played the piano and enjoyed praising God in song. She was a painter and left many paintings for family and friends. Anyone who met Imogene was blessed by her kind, loving, and generous heart. Imogene was preceded in death by her brothers, Lee Inman of Ponce de Leon, MO and Otto Inman of Springfield, MO; sister, Virginia Johns of Seymour, MO; and daughter, Virginia Matney Whittington of Grand Junction, Colorado. Imogene is survived by her husband, Joe Cunningham; brother, David (Neva) Inman of Kansas City, MO; sons, Dan (Bilinda) Matney of Minturn, CO, Frank (Jackie) Matney of Grand Junction, CO, Fred (Susan) Matney of Farmington, UT; daughter, Deborah (Gary) Myers of Northern, VA; stepdaughters, Angie (George) Jarvis of Monroe, MI, Colleen (Dan) Odell of Broomfield, CO, Caroline Cunningham of Denver, CO; and stepson, Joe (Kelly) Cunningham of Lumberton, TX; as well as 24 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Imogene was previously married to Sherman Eugene Matney. Memorial services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Lighthouse Assembly of God in Battlement Mesa, Colorado.
