Connie May Gillilan August 1, 1944 - November 2, 2018
Connie May Gillilan, of Grand Junction, went home to be with the Lord on November 2, 2018, at HopeWest Hospice in Grand Junction. She was 74. A funeral service will be held at Pear Park Baptist Church on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery. Connie was born on August 1, 1944, to Martin and Betty Pedersen in Ottumwa, Iowa. Her family later moved to Colorado. She married Duane Gillilan on June 1, 1968, in Grand Junction. Mrs. Gillilan was a devout Christian and faithful member of Pear Park Baptist Church. Along with her husband of 50 years, she raised four boys. She taught Sunday school for many years, loved to cook, and enjoyed crafts and being with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Gillilan is survived by her husband, Duane Gillilan; sons, Dennis Gillilan, Greg (Kendra) Gillilan, Matt (Sara) Gillilan, and Dan (Michelle) Gillilan; the Gillilan grandchildren, Tyler, Trent, Lane, Cole, Adam, Seth, Hannah, Hunter, Tucker, and Paisley; sister, Cheryl Coverly, and brother ,Ken Pedersen. She was preceeded in death by her parents, and brothers, Marty Pedersen and Bob Pedersen.
