Kenneth Robert Coulson, Jr., of Grand Junction, Colorado, died on November 12th after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family at HopeWest Hospice. Ken is survived by his brother, Donald; sons, Mike and Todd, and daughter, Kenna Hardenbrook. Preceding Ken in death are his parents, Kenneth Sr., and Mae. Kenny was a lifelong resident of Grand Junction, born January 29, 1934, in a small house on B1/2 Road. He attended local schools, graduating from Grand Junction High School. He pitched for the Tigers when they won their first State Championship. He also won a State Title for his Ford Legion Team. Ken went on to play for Mesa College, Greeley Bears, and the Semi-pro Eagles. He was scouted by the Brooklyn Dodgers, and the St. Louis Browns.
