Tammy Ann Tour Raetz May 7, 1959 - September 20, 2018
Tammy Ann Tour Raetz of Grand Junction, age 59, passed away September 20, 2018, in her home from a physical illness. Tammy was born May 7, 1959, in Ithaca, New York. She was the daughter of Dorothy A. Tour Archer of Grand Junction and the late Charles W. Tour. She attended Mesa State College. Tammy worked as a manager of a day care facility in Grand Junction for many years. She loved caring for children. She enjoyed collecting smiley faces and it brought joy to anyone she met, and her home. She loved her family and friends, and was always helping anyone in need. She was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army for several years during the holidays, and would give back any way she could. She was preceded in death by her husband, Griffith Raetz; father, Charles W. Tour, and step-father, Buddy Archer. Tammy is survived by sons, Nathan (Emily) Raetz and Jake (Dawn) Raetz of Grand Junction, CO; mother, Dorothy A. Tour Archer of Grand Junction, CO; brothers, James W. Tour of Oregon; Charles L. Tour of Hawaii, and Sam Tour of California. She had one granddaughter, Aaliyah Raetz. Private services have been held. Tammy has been buried with her husband, Griffith Raetz at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
