Janice Sue Dagley, 69, Grand Junction, died Nov. 24, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Northeast Christian Church. She was a retired accountant. Survivors include her husband, Franklin; one daughter, Christine McCullah of Grand Junction; two brothers, Buck Bracken of Palisade and Jerry Bracken of Grand Junction; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Janice Sue Dagley July 17, 1949 - November 24, 2018
Janice Dagley of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away Saturday, November 24, at St. Mary’s Hospital from complications resulting from diabetes. Janice was born Janice Bracken on July 17, 1949, in Collbran, Colorado to Fred and Waunita Bracken. Jan grew up in Palisade, the youngest of the family with brothers, Buck and Jerry. In 1968, she graduated from Palisade High School where she ran track and was chosen as the Palisade Peach Queen. In 1969 she married Henry J. "Hank" McDaniel (d. 1987) and had two children, Jay D. (d. 1992) and Christine. Jan enjoyed fishing, being outside, and supporting her children in their 4H activities. She also was known for her love of gardening, flower arranging, canning, and cooking. She worked as a florist and bookkeeper. Later in life, Jan married Franklin Dagley in 2004. She and Frank shared a love of missions and ministry. They were both members of Northeast Christian Church, sharing the role of Seniors Pastor there for seven years. They also enjoyed cowboy poetry and four wheeling in their free time. Jan is remembered for the generosity of her time and resources by her friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Frank Dagley; daughter, Christine McCullah; brothers, Buck and Jerry Bracken; grandchildren, Jaylene Green and Jaydon Bollig, and greatgranddaughters, Alainna and Alexis Green. Jan’s memorial service will be Thursday, November 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Northeast Christian Church.
