William "Lloyd" Roach, age 67, a resident of Gypsum, Colorado, passed away August 22, 2019, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was born on December 28, 1951, in Denver, Colorado to William "Bill" and Jean Roach. Lloyd married the love of his life Earlene "Punk" Harris almost 47 years ago on November 18, 1972. He served as a U.S. Marine for 2 ½ years after getting married. Afterward, he worked at the Eagle, CO sawmill, and then went on to build custom homes and specialized in trim carpentry until retirement. Lloyd loved pestering his wife, whom he nicknamed "punk," and spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived and loved deeply by his three children, Robert Roach (Amy) of Strawberry Point, Iowa; Joseph Roach of Littleton, Colorado; and Whitney Roach of Leadville, Colorado; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Jaelyn, Xavier, Logan, Maxine, Rayna, Dailen, Izabelle, and Brennan; and one great-grandson Rhett. Also surviving are sisters; Shirley, Bev, and Susan.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Jean and a sister Barbara.
Pastor Eric Collom will conduct his celebration of life service on August 31th 2019 at Calvary Christian Fellowship 35 Lindbergh Dr. Gypsum, CO 81637 at 1 p.m. Following the service there will be snacks provided at the church.
