Isidro Aragon, 70, died in Steamboat Springs on Tuesday, July 7, 1987. Services, conducted by Father Thomas Dentici, were held in St Martin's Church in Oak Creek on Friday, July 10 at 2:30 p.m. Interment was in the Oak Creek Cemetery. Maureen Hogue and Tyke Pierce played "One Day at a Time" and "I'll Miss You When You Go.” Pallbearers were Adolph Borroel,

Leroy Montoya, Charlie Bevan, Isidore Schaffner, Francis Gersic and Harold Martinez. Born in New Mexico on May 5, 1917, Isidro was the son of Manuel and Emilia Martinez Aragon. He was a section hand on the railroad until his retirement. He came to Oak Creek in 1947 and had lived with a daughter near Steamboat for the past three years. He leaves his widow, Jennie Aragon

of Oak Creek; three brothers, Mattias and Manuel Aragon of New Mexico and Gabriel Aragon of Denver; 8 daughters, Tori Rule of Steamboat, Susan Schaffner, Patsy Casias and Cecilia Montoya of Oak Creek, Christina Cullen and Emily Enger of Steamboat, Ottie Decker of Denver and Vivian Johnson of Fargo, N.D., three sons, John Casias of Tucson, Ariz., Mike Casias of Denver and Larry Casias of Aurora; 36 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He leaves his widow, Jennie Aragon of Oak Creek; three sons, John Casias of Phoenix, Mike Casias of Denver and Larry Casias of Denver; seven daughters, Tori Rule of Steamboat Springs, Susan Schaffner of Oak Creek, Patsy Casias of Oak Creek, Christian Cullen of Steamboat Springs, Ottie Decker of Denver, Cecelia Montoya of Oak Creek and Vivian Johnson of South Dakota, and five grandchildren.
