Jesse Thomas, former Eagle man, died in Truth or Consequences, N. Mex. Saturday. [Hennquences, New Mexico, Saturday]. He had suffered a heart attack in March and had been in failing health since.
His body was brought to Grand Junction, where burial will be held Saturday, and former Eagle residents now living in Grand Junction will be pall bearers.
Mr. Thomas was born in Missouri January 3, 1881. He came to Eagle better than 30 years ago, living there until the fall of 1944 when he moved to New Mexico. September 6, 1944 he married Thelma Farrington.
Mr. Thomas was a carpenter by trade, following his line of work here and in New Mexico.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma, one daughter, Ruth Thomas Potts of Grand Junction, and several step-children.
