Vera Thomas of Colorado Springs passed away recently. Mrs. Thomas was a former Eagle resident.
Mrs. Thomas was the daughter of Henry and Alice Ginther of Eagle County. Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of Eagle County High School. After graduation she moved to Denver to find work and met her husband Troy.
Mrs. Thomas returned to work in Eagle County at Camp Hale while her husband was stationed in England during World War II.
Following the war the couple lived in Texas, Virginia, and again in Denver until their retirement. They moved to Colorado Springs to be near their only child, daughter Daphne.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband Troy, daughter Daphne Russell (Robert), granddaughter Carrie Ann, sister Julia Fouchey (Paul), brother Verle (Berniece), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her brothers Don, Leonard, Omar, Bernard, and Ralph and by her sisters Winifred Fair, Ruth Hamilton, and Rosemary Poulson.
Mrs. Thomas was buried following services at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Littleton, Colorado.
