Mrs. Charles (Blanche) Thompson, 63 of 1226 Ute Ave., Grand Junction died Tuesday afternoon in St. Mary's Hospital. She had been seriously ill for three years.
Blanche Thomas was born March 25, 1902 at Kremmling, to a pioneer Grand County family. She spent her childhood in Kremmling and attended school there.
She married Charles Thompson March 25, 1923 at LaSalle. She was postmaster at Pershing for three years, and lived in Bond, Minturn and Glenwood Springs before moving to Grand Junction in 1959.
Surviving are her husband of Grand Junction; a daughter, Frances C. Shue, Sioux Falls, S.D.; a sister, Mrs. Florine Conner, North Sacramento, Cal. four grandchildren and two great-granchildren.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Galilee Baptist Church in Grand Junction. Burial will be Saturday afternoon at McCoy, at 4:00 o'clock.
