DOTSERO RESIDENT PASSES AWAY SUDDENLY SUNDAY
---
Ralph Tibbetts Seized with Heart Attack While on a Fishing Trip on Deep Creek - Buried in New Castle
---
Ralph E. Tibbetts, long a resident of the Dotsero neighborhood, passed away suddenly last Sunday morning while on a fishing trip on Deep Creek. Accompanied by his son, the two had walked up the creek to a camp near the head of the irrigation ditch, about three miles from the mouth of the creek, when suddenly he succumbed, and passed away almost immediately. When the son could not arouse his father, he went to Dotsero and some of the neighbors returned with him and carried the body out to where it could be placed in a car and taken to the home in Dotsero.
Mr. Tibbets had been a resident of the county for more than thirty years, for many years riding the range for various cow outfits, and of recent years following his trade as a carpenter.
He was born in Wentline Corner, Pa., over sixty years ago, being 60 years 9 months and eleven days old at the time of his death Sunday. He is survived by a daughter of his first marriage, living in the east, and four children by a second marriage, and several brothers and sisters, one brother living near New Castle, Colo., and the other relatives in Maine.
The Andre Mortuary of Eagle had charge of the funeral and burial services which were held in New Castle, Colo., Wednesday, where the body was laid to rest.
