Memorial services for former longtime Eagle resident Dorothy Mae Tolbert were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the Eagle Community United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Tolbert, a former clerk-typist for the U.S. Forest Service, died Saturday, May 24, at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction.
She was born Aug. 17, 1924, in Sterling, Colo. Mrs. Tolbert moved to Eagle in 1955 and then to Grand Junction about three years ago for health reasons. Her death followed a lengthy illness.
Survivors include her husband, John Tolbert of Eagle; a daughter, Mrs. Julianne Ridgway, also of Eagle; two sons, Randal Craig Tolbert of Eagle and John Clifford Tolbert of Denver; and four grandchildren.
The Rev. Steve Goodier officiated at Wednesday's memorial service. Jean Price served as organist, and Mrs. Bev Goodier was the vocal soloist.
Martin Mortuary of Grand Junction was in charge of May 27 cremation arrangements.
