Robert Tracy, 22 of Avon, was born March 24, 1945 at Pueblo, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Tracy, now of Denver. He attended Eagle Valley High School in Gypsum before joining the Marines where he attained the rank of Corporal. He had just recently returned from 14 months in Vietnam and was employed at the New Jersey Zinc mine in Gilman. His family lived near Gypsum before he joined the Marines. Mr. Tracy died the morning of August 4, 1967 in a car accident on Gore Creek. He is survived by his parents; and three sisters: Sandra Lee Gilmer, Leadville; Rena La Grow, Edwards and Marcia Tracy. His grandmother, Mrs. Peggy Rogers of Denver also survives. Burial was in Fort Logan National Cemetery.
