Joe Trujillo, 93, died Feb. 18, 2005.
Mr. Trujillo was born Aug. 18, 1911, in Durango, to Solomon and Emma Trujillo.
On Dec. 25, 1938, he married Ida Atencio from Salida.
He worked at the zinc mine in Gilman for 46 years.
He is survived by two children, Jerry Trujillo and Donna Jean Duran; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dolores Roden, Boise, Idaho, Stella Medina, Las Vegas; and one brother, Solomon (Gloria) Trujillo. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Carmel (Forest) Hamilton, and Alice (Isidro) Solano, and brothers-in-law, Chuck (Rachel) Atencio and Joe Andrew (Betty) Atencio.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ida; brothers, John Trujillo and Chris Trujillo; and sisters, Elizabeth, Josephine and Elsie Salazar.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James King officiating.
