Greene
Nancy Carol Greene, aged 83,
born in Ghent, West Virginia,
to Hobart Greene and Garnet
Halstead Greene, died May 27,
2020, following a lengthy illness
with ovarian cancer.
She attended Bidwell Porter
High School in Bidwell, Ohio,
and she spoke fondly of being a
cheerleader and having the lead
role in her high school play.
Nancy was hardworking and worked at the Columbus, Ohio,
State Hospital for many years; ran a combine in Blanca, Colorado,
and later made flutes in Grand Junction, Colorado. She also worked
several years at Rocky Mountain Health Plans, running the Copy
Center, in Grand Junction.
An avid bowler, she also enjoyed crocheting, making stationary
and cards for her friends, and camping in the great outdoors in
Colorado.
She was dedicated to her family, and worked tirelessly cooking,
canning, and freezing foods for them to enjoy. She was born during
hard times and worked hard all of her life.
Nancy is survived by her cousin and caregiver, Linda McArthur,
of Grand Junction, Colorado; brother, William Carl Greene, and
niece, Carla Donaldson, both of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, and nephews,
Scott and Jeff Greene, both who reside in Ohio.
Nancy was the consummate lady and will be sorely missed by all
who knew her
