Ed was born on September 26,
1951, in Watertown, Wisconsin.
He was raised on family
dairy farms in Wisconsin and
Colorado. In 1969, Ed graduated
from Fruita High School. He
joined the US Air Force and
served as a jet engine mechanic
and crew chief. During the
Vietnam War, he served in Thailand. Ed retired from the Air Force
after nearly 21 years.
In the mid-1990’s, he moved to Pipe Creek, Texas, and found his
forever home. Ed opened his own small engine repair business and
enjoyed the shop and his customers for 20 years, until poor health
forced his retirement. Many people in the community remember his
kindness and willingness to offer a helping hand during his time in
Pipe Creek.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Helen
(Thoma) Quest, and brother, Tommy. He is survived by his wife,
Pamela Studstill; brothers and sisters, Carol (Kocher), Jim, Ron,
Susan (Garner), Eva, Joe, Helen (Kinsey), Kristy (Paeth), and Dave,
and his best friend of over 50 years, Joe Beckstein.
In Ed’s memory, be kind to other people, family, friends and
strangers. He would like that.
