Dick Earl Pixler, 81, died
February 21, 2021, at Mantey
Heights Care Center. He was
born February 24, 1939, in
Cripple Creek, Colorado, to
Ronald (Richard) A. and Lillian
E. Pixler.
He was married to Catherine
L. Pixler (Dalley). She preceded
him in death. He is survived
by children, Robin (Daniel)
O’Connor, Misty Dittebrand, Peggy Griffith, David (Molly) Pixler,
and Stacy (Don) Pinnt along with ten grandchildren and ten greatgrandchildren.
Dick joined the Navy in 1957, and was honorably discharged in
1959. He worked in construction and operated heavy equipment for
many years. He owned and operated a gas station on North Avenue
for a while. Dick enjoyed fishing and going to Mesquite with his
wife to try his luck on the slot machines.

in Dick’s name, to a veterans’ charity of your choice such as the
Wounded Warriors Project or the VA Medical Center
Military Honors will be held March 2, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at Veterans
Cemetery, Grand Junction, CO.
