Marcus Albert Vigil. The Bond-McCoy community was saddened this week with the death of a young school student in the McCoy High School, Marcus Albert Vigil.

Although the young man had not been ill and his death was sudden, it was attributed to a malady he had suffered most of his life. He died in his sleep at his home October 30.

Marcus moved to Eagle County two months ago, when his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Vigil came from Denver to manage the Statebridge Lodge. During his short stay in the community he made many friends. Six classmates were his pall bearers.

He was born December 16, 1945, one of seven children and is survived by his parents; one brother C.J Vigil III, five sisters; Patricia, Nancy, Judith, Susan and Nancy; the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Vigil of Denver and Albert Rodgers of Rapid City, S. Dakota.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the McCoy Community Church by Reverend Francis Ricker and interment was in the McCoy Cemetery, directed by Miller Funeral Home of Eagle.

Pall bearers were Joe Vigil, LeRoy Kirby, Ronnie Grobiebe, Earl Skiles, Mike Spitellie and Albert Stull.
