Helen was born to Walter
and Margaret (Caldwell)
Stack and step-mother,
Alma Stack in Longmont,
Colorado. She was one of
13 children.
She lived in the Grand
Junction area most of her life. She married Chan
Hockett in June of 1948. They had two sons, Thomas
and James.
Helen was a member of Appleton Christian Church.
She was a wonderful cook and loved canning, fishing,
plants, and flowers. She raised many sheep and had
unusual pets. Helen was an avid crocheter who shared
her projects with many friends and family. She loved
God and everyone she met.
She is preceded in death by husband, Chan; son,
James; daughter-in-law, Patricia, and most of her
siblings.
She is survived by son, Thomas, and children, Patrick
(Julie), Cindy (JP), Howard and Christine (James)
Lebus; daughter-in-law, Angie Hockett, her children,
Charlene (Mike), Thomas and Danny Westbrook; greatgrandchildren, Addison, Avagayle, Allison, Kyler, JP
Jr., Bryce, Kaleb, and one that will arrive soon.
She also leaves behind many extended family and
friends.
Helen wished people to not mourn her passing but
remember that she had a long wonderful life and love
for many.
Services will be August 11, at 10:00 a.m., at Appleton
Christian Church. Potluck reception to follow.
