Geraldine “Jerry” was
born to Domenic and
Margaret Dozzi Malatche
on October 27, 1926, in
Palisade, CO. She spent her
childhood years in Utah,
graduating from Carbon
High School in Price. She was a resident of Palisade
since 1952, residing in the same house since 1955. Jerry
married Robert R. Burdick June 3, 1946. After 56 years
of marriage, he passed away January 31, 2002.
Along with her husband they owned and operated
B & J Supply, a general store, for 20 years. She was
a bookkeeper for United Fruit Growers in Palisade for
20 years. Jerry was a long-time member of the P.E.O.
sisterhood, Chapter CY, served on Literary and Crime
Stoppers boards in Grand Junction, and spent many
years on the Palisade Town Board. She derived much
pleasure from yard work, knitting, needlepoint, and
cross stitching handwork.
Survivors include son, Bob D., of Grand Junction. She
was preceded by her parents.
