Mrs. J.N. Walsh, of Rio Blanco county, was buried in the Evergreen cemetery in Red Cliff last Monday afternoon, the remains having been shipped here from Salida. Mrs. Walsh was a sister of Thomas Dunn, who worked here in early days and who died and was buried here in 1891. One of Mrs. Walsh's dying wishes was that she be buried beside her brother at Red Cliff and her husband carried out her wish. Mrs. Walsh was born in Dubuque, Iowa, 75 years ago the 4th day of next November. She was a pioneer of Colorado, coming to the state in its very earliest days, and in 1876 was married to Mr. Walsh in Georgetown. Her death was caused by pneumonia, following an operation for a chronic trouble, and was very sudden.

Those of her relatives who were here to attend the burial services were her husband, J.N. Walsh, who is a rancher on the white River, her son, H.E. Walsh, her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Gross, Mrs. Thomas Dunn and Mr. Will Dunn.
