Services for Clyde Whitehouse 82, of 1208 Iola St., Aurora were held March 16 at Olinger's Mortuary and burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. Whitehouse had been ill for the past four years and spent the past year at the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home at Aurora, where he passed away March 14.
He was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky and spent his boyhood there. Later, the family moved to Cooksville, Illinois.
He was married to Martha Zabel in 1910 and in 1922 they moved to Denver, because of her health. She died in October, 1965.
Survivors include two daughters, Eve Whitehouse of Aurora and Mary Bartlemay of Winter Park, Florida; a son, Paul of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Ollie of Winter Haven, Florida and seven granddaughters and four great-granddaughters.
Mr. and Mrs. Whitehouse lived on Sweetwater 11 years and she was a sister of Ivy Zabel and Nellie Thatcher of Sweetwater.
