Mrs. Martha E. Whitehouse, former Sweetwater resident, died in Denver Oct.
She was born May 19, 1891 in Cooksville, Ill. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zabel. She married Clyde Whitehouse Lived on Sweetwater from 1948 to 1958 when they moved to Denver.
Funeral services were held in Denver Oct. 23 and burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery, there.
Mrs. Whitehouse is survived by her husband, a son, Paul of San Antonio, Tex.; two daughters: Eve Whitehouse of Denver and Mary Bartlemay of Winter Park, Fla.; three brothers; John Zabel, Granite City, Ill.; Earl of Cooksville and Fred of Elsworth, Ill; two sisters: Nellie Thatcher and Iva Zabel of Sweetwater; 7 granddaughters, and 4 great-granddaughters also survive.
