Paul was born in Denver, son of Alvin August Wegeman and Bessie Pearl Williams. His family resided in Steamboat Springs during his high school and college years. He was a graduate of Denver University. He was an avid skier and considered Steamboat Springs his 'home'. He was inducted into three ski Halls of Fame: Denver University; Western State Colorado University and Colorado Ski Hall of Fame. Paul married Nancy Stevens in Los Angeles, California in 1954. He adopted Los Angeles as his residence for 25 years. Paul and family moved from Los Angeles to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1982.
Paul was full of energy, hope, optimism and courage. He was charming, charismatic, humble, and caring. A teacher, singer, Olympic skier, real estate agent, investor, small-business owner, and motivational speaker. He was a national Presidential award honoree for a lifetime of volunteerism. Paul was a veteran of the U S Navy.
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Paul's life was full of meaning and purpose. He was inspirational to all who knew him.
