With heavy hearts, we
announce the death of
Daniel Joseph Esparza,
Sr., who passed away
December 26, 2021, at the
age of 78.
Daniel was born March
22, 1943, to Alberto and Adela Esparza in Alamosa, CO.
He was a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran. As
a longtime resident of Grand Junction, CO, he worked
for School District 51 as a Driver’s Education Teacher
and as the Computer and Auto Mechanics Instructor at
Western Colorado Community College until he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Margarett Esparza;
daughters, Leslie (Lee) Hyde, and Sonja Esparza;
sons, Andrew (JoAnne) Esparza; Daniel Esparza, Jr.,
and Donovan Esparza; eight brothers and sisters; ten
grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Daniel has been laid to rest at the Veteran’s Memorial
Cemetery in Grand Junction, CO.
