Our hearts are broken
over the loss of Lynda
Sue Billings, age 74, wife,
mother, grandmother,
sister, and best friend
who passed February 19,
at Intermountain Medical
Center in Murray, Utah.
“Sue”, as she came to be called, was born December
29, 1947, in Cortez, Colorado. She was raised in
Mancus, Colorado by the late Thomas Stevenson and
Helen Marie Smithson. Sue moved to Grand Junction
and graduated from Central High School in 1965. She
met her husband and love of her life, Richard Billings,
and they married August 2, 1965.
She is survived by husband, Richard Gerald Billings;
daughters, Tammy (Verl) Reed, Michile (Shawn)
O’Toole, and Danielle (James) Walker-Crespin, and
brother, Stanley Stevenson, all of Grand Junction,
Colorado; sister, Gerrie (John) Del Tondo, of Alamosa,
Colorado; half-brothers, Michael Stevenson, and Joe
Stevenson (deceased), step-siblings, Deborah (Jerry)
Husky and Jerry Collins (deceased), all from Mancus,
Colorado; step-brother, Jimmie Collins, of Arizona,
and six grandchildren.
Sue worked at the GJ Regional Center for 34 years
before retiring in 2000. She spent her entire life caring
for her family and others. She will be missed.
Memorial services will be March 19, 2022, 11:00
a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,
3076 E 1/2 Road, Grand Junction, 81504
