Helen Ruth
Schultz
September 2, 1931 - March 3, 2022
Jesus took Helen home
to be with him March 3,
2022.
Helen was born in
Lancaster, MO, and as
a baby moved to Little
Cedar, IA. She was the
middle child of three; both siblings have preceded her
in death.
After graduating high school, she moved to Rochester,
MN, to Jacksonville, FL, then to CA, where she met her
husband. They then moved to Grand Junction, and had
two children. Helen worked for WB Johnson’s Plumbing
and Heating as a bookkeeper for many years.
Helen’s strength and courage and her love of the Lord
Jesus were some of her most notable attributes. Through
all adversities of life, she looked to the Lord and never
complained about anything, not pain nor hardship. She
always had a smile, beautiful laugh, and open arms.
Helen enjoyed traveling anywhere anytime. Whether
a long trip, a drive over the Mesa, out to lunch or dinner,
she just loved to go. She loved playing cards and games
with family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was her
children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her
love and deep devotion for her family surpassed none
other, she gave unconditionally to them. They were her
greatest joy in life.
Helen filled her life not with the things of this world
that would fade away, but focused on the things that will
last long after she’s gone - love, laughter, and time with
those she loved. We are honored to have loved and been
loved by her.
She is survived by son, Scott Schultz (Sandra);
daughter, Jacqueline Schultz; grandchildren, Wade
Schultz (Crystal), Sarah Griffith (Loren), Gabrielle
Schultz (Cullen Burford), and Katelyn Wade (Robbie);
great-grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Lucy, Stella,
Jackson, Nolan, and Lincoln, and countless nieces and
nephews.
Services are at Messiah Lutheran Church, 840 North
11th St., Grand Junction, CO, Friday, March 25, 2022,
