Rosalie Herrera
September 4, 1940 - March 16, 2022
Rosalie Herrera, born September 4, 1940, passed
away at 81 years old, at St. Mary’s Hospital March 16,
at 1:44 p.m.
She grew up in Delta, Colorado, attending Delta
High School, but resided here in Grand Junction where
she helped raise three generations of great-greatgrandnieces and nephews, Jaylee Herrera, Zeriah
Peltier, Remy Peltier and Izrial and Julian Linkenhoger.
She spent 35 years at St. Mary’s as a receptionist in
their medical records department. She was a devout
Catholic who attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church
every Sunday and all other church events during the
week. She was very strong in her faith. She loved
helping others and spent all of her free time with her
family, sister, Theresa Vargas, and great-niece, Rosalie
Herrera Jr.
She is preceded in death by father, Guillermo Herrera;
mother, Consecion Ramirez; sisters, Bonnie Rodriguez,
and Sistie Miranda, and brother, Bill Herrera.
Rosalie will have a Rosary at St. Joseph’s Catholic
Church at 10:00 a.m. March 24, followed by a Funeral
Mass at 11:00 a.m. the same day. She will be entered
into rest at the Delta City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mir Center
of Western Colorado.
The family would like to thank Carl Malito of St.
Joseph’s Catholic Church, who has been a blessing
throughout.
