Audrey Satterfield, age
90, of Grand Junction, CO,
passed away on Sunday,
May 22, 2022 at the
HopeWest Hospice Care
Center. Audrey was born
on June 26, 1931 in Elgin,
UT to Byron and Goldie Harris Dangler. She spent her
childhood in Grand Junction and also lived previously
in Utah and California. Audrey was baptized at Grace
Baptist Church and attended many others throughout
her life. She was married to the love of her life, Ernie
Satterfield, a month shy of 75 years. When they married,
she was 15 and he was 21.
Throughout her life, Audrey was a multicrafter
who tried everything. She created beautiful crochet
and knitted gifts for all her family and friends whom
treasure these items. She also formerly worked at The
Winery Restaurant as both a Bookkeeper and Manager.
Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband
Ernie; her son, Ernest (Sonny); her parents, Byron and
Goldie; her brothers, Gene and Paul; and her sister,
Dorothy.
She is survived by her children, Marilyn (Bob) Struck
of Brighton, CO, Bev (Karl) Stephens of Grand Junction,
CO, and Sandy (Nohel) Payan of Grand Junction, CO;
her sisters, Peggy Tillman of Grand Junction, CO,
Arlene Dangler of Fredericksburg, TX, and Karen
Daugherty of Grand Junction, CO; 10 Grandchildren,
20 1/2 Great- Grandchildren, and 3 Great-GreatGrandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary,
Grand Junction, CO on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from
11:00a.m. until 1:p.m.. Funeral services will take place
at the funeral home chapel on Friday, May 27, 2022
at 11:00a.m.. Burial will follow in Grand Junction
Memorial Gardens.
