Howdy was born in
New Brighton, Pennsylvania
to Howard, Sr. and Helen
Jean Schaney Martsolf.
He married Judy Lummas in 1958 and served in both
the Pennsylvania and Illinois National Guard. He was
preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his
loving wife Judy of 64 years; sons, Tom (Judi), Billy
(Misty), and Andy (Karen); eleven grandchildren; and
three great grandchildren. Howdy’s funeral service will
be held at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church on Thursday,
February 2, 2023 at 11:00 am. Those who desire can
make memorial contributions to HopeWest or St.
Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
