Nancy R. Walker, age
87 of Naturita, CO, passed
away on Saturday, May
13, 2023 at her daugh-
ter’s home, surrounded by
family. Nancy was born
on September 21, 1935 in
Ucola, CO to Homer Vance
and Helen Hill Vance.
Nancy spent her childhood
in the Ucola, CO area and
also the Naturita, CO area.
She graduated from Nucla High School and worked for the
City of Naturita as a City Clerk and was a volunteer for
the Rimrock Historical Society of Naturita and Nucla. She
enjoyed painting, playing cards, camping, planting flowers
and spending time with her family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Homer and
Helen; her husband, Gary Walker; her daughter, Tinley
Haskell; her sister, Evelyn Icke; her brother, Ronald Hill;
and her grandson, Kurt Walker.
Survivorsinclude her children, Dewey Walker (Kennita)
and Colene Arnold; and numerous grandchildren, great
grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Cedar Ridge
Cemetery, Nucla, CO on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2:00pm. A
reception will follow at the family’s home.
