George F. (Fred) Gay,
resident of Grand Junction,
Colorado, passed peacefully
in his sleep. Born in Delta,
Colorado to George W Gay
and Winifred (Wise) Gay.
Fred grew up in Moab,
Utah, relocated to Grand Junction in 2015 where he made
his home.
He is survived by the love of his life, Vicky Janes;
sons, George Gay II, Michael Wayne (Melissa) Gay;
step son, John Wilkerson; step daughter, Renae (Eddie)
Phillips; grandchildren, nephews, and nieces; brother,
Reggie Gay; sisters, Sharon Adams and Joy Gay; and
his special Munchkins, Braelyn, Skylar and Vanessa.
Fred was a Marine, Police Officer, Deputy Sheriff,
Tactical Trainer, Spiritual leader, avid hunter of elk,
deer, bear and turkey. He also enjoyed fishing, camping
and dancing. He will be missed by his family and all
those who knew him.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will take place at a
