Landed the first robots on
the moon, Surveyor.
Gene and wife, Louise
(nee Ponsford) returned to
Grand Junction in 1991.
He built a house, learned to
play golf, resumed fishing,
was an active Mason and
Shrine Clown (Geno).
He is survived by: two
sons, four grandsons and
10 grand children.
