Micheal J. Powers, 79,
passed away peacefully on
May 31, 2023. Mike was
born January 04, 1944 in
Denver, Colorado to his
parents James C. Powers
and Sophie M. Kulaga of
Colorado. Mike was the oldest of five children: Patrick
Powers, Carol Powers,
William Powers, and James
Powers, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Leah M. Powers of 57 years.
He is survived by his children M. Shaun Powers and
Michele L. Keeton and three grandchildren Dylan, Nicole,
and Caytlynne.
Mike was a loving husband, father, and grandpa, who
had a love for his family, friends, and country. He served
in the Navy during the Vietnam War and continued supporting veterans by volunteering with the American Legion
Posts of Fruita, CO and Salisbury, MD. Mike never met a
stranger and could talk to anyone. This made him a highly
successful District Manager for Keebler where he retired
after 27 years.
A memorial service and celebration of life will take
place at a future date in Grand Junction, CO.
