Mike grew up in
Southern California and
graduated from Orange
Glen High School. He enlisted in the Air Force and
achieved the rank of Airman
1st class as a fire protection
journeyman. After his service he moved to Texas and
became a truck driver. He
moved to Colorado in 2014.
There he met his love, Katie
Oharek.
He was a loving husband to Katie. He also enjoyed horticulture, riding his motorcycle, the ocean, collecting uranium glass, and fixing clocks.
He is survived by his wife, Katie, a pack of rescue dogs
and numerous family members.
A family memorial will be held in August or September.
Per his wishes his ashes will be spread in the ocean in
November.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to an ocean
conservancy fund.
