Dave left this earthly world and received his
wings on July 23, 2023 in
Grand Junction, Colorado.
We miss him and feel lost
without him.
Dave served 20 years
in the United States Air
Force and honorably retired
in 1999 at Edwards AFB,
California. We moved to
Las Vegas where he could
really shine and show his skills as an HVAC Technician
for 15 years (He also was an HVAC Technician 20 years in
the AF). Dave was a very hard worker and good at what he
did. We had enough of the Vegas heat and moved to Grand
Junction, Colorado with the beautiful trees, mountains,
lakes and rivers where he could enjoy fishing and hunting.
He enjoyed the outdoors as well as collecting coins and
watching old Western movies. He loved country music. He
liked to tell jokes (corny ones) and make you laugh. He
loved dogs and we always had a few.
Dave enjoyed grilling a good steak on the grill and
would grill for all the pool parties the kids had growing
up. Thanksgiving he always made a great turkey with
mouth-watering gravy! Christmas time he was the one to
hand out the gifts and enjoyed watching his family. Even
the dogs had their gifts.
Once Dave and I (D’Nene) went up to Zion. It is so
beautiful there. He talked me into the Angel’s Landing
hike saying it was an easy one. Boy was that the biggest
fib ever! I conquered my fear of heights that day and we
had fun doing it.
Dave is preceded in death of his father Ben, Grandpa
Bud, Grandma Vena, Aunts Ramona and Wanda along with
other loved ones. I pray they are all sitting around now
catching up and laughing!
He is survived by his wife of 37 years D’Nene, Daughter
Krysta (Hector), Son Scott (Ashley) and his 4 grandchildren Damien, Kyler, Kalvyn and Kennedy. Also his pups
Ramesses and Loki. His mother Jeannie, sisters Tina and
Patricia (Chris) and brother Troy (Danelle) also his nephews and nieces, cousins and Uncle Lester.
One day we will all meet again….
