In the early evening
of Monday, September
25, 2023 William Edward
Buvinger “Bill” passed
peacefully from this life.
Bill was born in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
on March 21, 1932 to loving
parents, Charles I. Buvinger
and Helen P. Lynam.
During his life he married twice. First in 1958 to
Eleanor Anne Siemon, they
were married for 24 years
when she passed away from
a long battle with cancer. A
year later Bill met, fell in
love and in 1983 married
Linda Callihan to whom he
was married for 39 years.
Linda passed away in April
2022 also of cancer.
From the two unions
there were no children. Bill was predeceased by his parents and his eight older siblings. He left behind many good
friends and his loving and spoiled cat, Cleo who will live
with his friends.
Bill was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Coast
Guard. He also enjoyed active membership in the Masonic
Lodge, Fleet Reserve, American Legion Post 37, Sons of
American Revolution, Sons of Union Veterans, War of 1812
Society, and several other organizations.
Bill retired as a Logistics Manager, Department of
Defense, USAF Space Command.
A military service will be held on October 12, 2023 at
3:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western
Colorado, 2830 Riverside Pkwy, Grand Junction, CO 81501
Bill loved increasing his knowledge in various things
that interested him and would take courses to increase that
knowledge. Bill has now moved on to seek more light and
knowledge.
