Juliano.
Jim is survived by
daughter Katherine (John)
Wilson, son Deno (Summer)
Diamanti, daughter in-law
Pasty Diamanti, all from Grand Junction Colorado. Brother
Gregory Diamanti of Oakland California. Grandchildren,
great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Jim attended school in Carbon County. As a young boy,
he became a sheepman, alongside his father. In his early
twenties he started working at Mid-Continent Coal, in
Redstone CO. Then worked at Gunn Quealy Coal Company
as a mine manager in Rock Springs Wyoming and Peabody/
Powderhorn Coal, in Grand Junction CO. Where he was the
general mine manager and retired with them.
Jim and VonNiel enjoyed bowling, dancing, bingo, poker nights with friends, and the casinos. But his real passion
was the mountains and his cabin, his raspberry garden and
of course, the stories he shared with family and friends.
He touched many lives with his integrity, honesty, and
work ethic. He will be missed.
Services will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary
November 4, 2023 at 11AM.
