Melvin Sackse, a devoted
family man and hardworking individual passed away
at the age of 93 on November
3, 2023. He is survived by
his four children, Tricia
Purcell(Jerry) Blanchard
Idaho, Rick Sackse(Brenda)
Grand Junction Co, Debbie
Wiman Grand Junction
Co, Beth Rubalcaba(Matt)
Grand Junction Co, as well
as 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mel was
preceded in death by his beloved wife Thelma.
Mel served his country with honor in the United States
Army and established three successful businesses in addition to working and retiring from Mountain Bell. His spirit and work ethic remained unyielding as he continued to
work his entire life, a testament to his unwavering determination and passion for his craft.
Mel will be remembered for his resilience, dedication to
his family, and his remarkable work ethic which inspired
those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of strength,
hard work, and profound love for his family.
A visitation will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary
on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 5-7pm. A Rosary
Service will take place at 7pm. Memories and condolences
