Dale Park was called
home by his Lord to Heaven
on December 1, 2023. He
was 83 years old. Dale was
born on December 30, 1939,
to Oliver & Rheba (Adams)
Park in the family home on
Orchard Mesa. A lifelong
resident of the Grand Valley,
Dale attended area schools
and graduated from Grand
Junction High School in
1957. Subsequently he attended Mesa College. Dale met
the love of his life, Eva Fuller, in 1959. The couple were
married in 1961 and enjoyed 62 blessed years as husband
and wife. God blessed their union with two sons, Carson,
born in 1962 and Vaughn, in 1965.
Dale worked in the Climax Molybdenum Mine near
Leadville, and for Continental Trailways before working
at Ultronix Company in Grand Junction as Manufacturing
Manager. In 1976 Dale left the corporate world behind to
become an entrepreneur. He started his own business, The
Shoe Man, which he owned and operated for forty years
before retiring in 2015.
Dale placed a high value on relationships and was a
friend to all who knew him. Most of all he enjoyed family
activities and vacations and serving the Lord with friends
at New Covenant Baptist Church.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and
Rheba Park, his older brother Doyle Park and his younger
sister, Belva (Park) Bailey. Dale is survived by his beloved
wife Eva and their two sons Carson (Wendy) and Vaughn
(Ronda), two granddaughters, four grandsons and his
younger brother Dennis Park.
A celebration of Dale’s earthly life will be held at
Heritage Church, 2403 N. 12th Street, in Grand Junction on
Saturday morning, December 16 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
New Covenant Baptist Church or Heritage Church.
Dale was a man of deep and abiding faith in Jesus, and
although we miss him greatly, we rejoice that his faith has
become sight.
