MEMBER OF EAGLE PIONEER FAMILY DIED MONDAY The daughter of Dave Wed more, early day resident of Eagle, passed away in Glenwood Springs Sept. 12, following a ten-months illness. Mrs. Effie Gleason, 76, died in Valley View Hospital, wlhere she had been a patient but a few days. Bom to David L. and Elizabeth Shelton Wed more in Moulton, la., August 14, 1884, Effie spent her childhood in Milton, and moved with her parents to Eagle in 1899. In 1903 she was married to Tom A. Gleason In Eagle, and lived here until her death. Mr. Gleason preceded his wife in death several years ago. Until Mrs. Gleason’s Illness 10 months ago, she was active in circles of the Methodist Church, and was a Past Matron of the Eagle Easem Star Chapter No. 82. She is survived by two children Frank W. and Mrs. Tom (Barbara) Pearcii, both of Eagle, and a sister. Mrs. O. A. (Minnie) Ping of Eagle. The Reverend H. C. Moorhead will conduct services in the Eagle Methodist Church, a church Mrs. Gleason helped to establish, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Sunset View Cemetery, directed by Burdge Mortuary of Glenwood Springs. Friends of Mrs. Gleasons may contribute to a Methodist Church. Memorial fund in her name in lieu of flower*.
