Sally Hawkins burial is at Sun Set View

Funeral services for Sally Lynne Hawkins, 35, of Eagle will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Eagle Community United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hawkins died Thursday, March 21, in a single engine airplane crash near the Beaver Creek Ski Area at Avon.

The Rev. Steve Goodier will officiate at this morning's services. Interment will follow at the Sun Set View Cedmetery in Eagle, under the direction of Farnum-RIchardson Motuary of Glenwood Springs.

Mrs. Hawkins was born Oct. 17, 1948, at Chicago, Ill. She was the daughter of Martin Owens and B Illie Owens.

She spent her younger years at Prospect, Ill. and graduated from high school at Centerville, Ohio in 1967. She was also a 1971 graduate of Purdue University in Lafayette, Ind.

Mrs. Hawkins earned her masters degree from Denver University in 1972. She was employed as a systems development manager for Eagle Computer Systems, Inc. at the time of her death.

She was united in marriage on June 25, 1982, in Eagle to Ron Hawkins. Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins and their eight-month-old daughter, Amanda, made their home at 9025 Brush Creek Road south of Eagle.

Surviving in addtion to her husband and daughter, are her parents, Martin and BIllie Owens of Barrington, Ill.; a brother, Jim Owens of Barrington, Ill.; two sisters, Nancy McManigal of Moline, Ill. and Susan Smith of Bellbrook, Ohio; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Owens of Faltine, Ill.

Memorial contributions to a trust fund for Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins' daughter, Amanda, are now being accepted at the First Bank of Eagle County, P.O. Box 587, Eagle, Colo. 81631.
