BIRDIE L. KING

Birdie Shivley King, widow of of Lewis King, passed away at New Castle August 25 alt the age of 80 years. Birdie Shivley was bom at Empire, Colo. June 10, 1884 and spent her childhood on Gore Creek near Minfum. She was married to Mr Lewis King at Minturn in 1905. Mr. King passed away in Denver in 1944. Mrs. King is survived by three sons; Charles of Grand Junction; Clinton King, Carbondale; Kenneth King of California; and four daughters: Eliza Bridenbaugh, Pirbiloff Island, Alaska; Mrs. W. A. (Ellen) Mann, Fairbanks, Alaska; Mrs. A- I. (Lucy) Williams, New Castle; Edith King, Grand Junction. Two children preceded her in death. Fourteen grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren also survive. Farnum Mortuary of Glenwood is in charge of arrangements and Rev. George Shcrbondy will conduct the funeral service wkh interment in Minturn.
