Mrs. Ella Albertson of Burns, died in the Rifle Nursing Home Sunday evening.
She was the widow of Charles F. Albertson, early day stockman of the Burns Hole country.

Mrs. Ella L. Albertson, 86, died May 4, 1969 in a Rifle nursing home.
Ella L. McMillan, was born at Guthrie Center, Iowa January 22, 1883 and came with her parents to the Burns Hole country of Eagle County at the age of five years. Her parents helped to settle the cattle ranching country of Burns, and she and her husband, in later years carried on development of one of the best cattle regions in western Colorado.
She married Charles Albertson November 11, 1903, at the ranch home at Burns, and the couple remained on the ranch the rest of their lives. Mr. Albertson died on September 30, 1953. For the past four years, Mrs. Albertson, because of her health, lived in Grand Junction, Collbran and Rifle.
Surviving are two sons: Joe and Orris of Burns; and three daughters: Helen Albertson of Mali Republic, West Africa; Mrs. Paul (Ella May) Hight, Collbran; and Mrs. Ralph (Carrie) Panter, New Castle; one brother, Rollie McMillan, Delta; and a sister, Hattie Barnhisel of Palisade; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted May 7 at the Farnum Chapel in Glenwood with Rev. Leonard Robinson officiating. Burial was in the Gypsum cemetery.
