BETZ DEATH.
Former Eagle County resident Mrs. Anna Bernarda BETZ died at the age of 77 on March 16 at Clagett Memorial Hospital at Rifle. She had suffered a lengthy illness.
She was born Anna Bernarda BOTTOLFSON on Dec. 14, 1895 at Leadville. She spent her childhood in Eagle County and graduated in the class of 1909. She received a degree in domestic science from the State Agricultural College at Fort Collins.
Her marriage to Albert [Adelbert] Joseph BETZ took place on December 9, 1917. BETZ died on June 26, 1949.
Mrs. BETZ has lived in Rifle since 1963, where she was a resident of the E. Dene Moore Nursing Home.
Survivors include a son, C. A. (Bud) BETZ of Glenwood Springs; and daughters Carol Wyn SNIDER of Silt and Judith HUGHES of Glenwood; a sister, Cornelia L. BETZ of Ramona, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
