MARILYN BIRCH 1928--1991.
Marilyn E. "Toots" BIRCH of Grand Junction, a former long-time Eagle resident, died Aug. 4 in St. Mary's Hospital of heart failure. She was 63.
A funeral service was held in the Martin Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Eddie SCROGGINS officiating.
Mrs. BIRCH was a retired senior dispatched for the Colorado State patrol and lived in Grand Junction for three years.
She was born Aug. 4, 1928 to David T. and Mary J. Paulich STALLARD in Aspen. She graduated from Grand Junction in 1946. She married Everett J. BIRCH on Nov. 6, 1949; Mr. Birch died in 1968 in Telluride.
Mrs. BIRCH lived in Montrose for five years and in Eagle for 18 years before moving to Grand Junction. She was a member of the Colorado State Patrol Association, enjoyed fishing, ceramics, golf, and her family.
Survivors include her mother, Mary, of Grand Junction; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David E. of Vail, and Larry J. and Debi of San Jose, Calif.; four daughters and one son-in-law, Beverly and George Townsend of Montrose, Mariann E. of Spring, Tex., Judy of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Kasey of Eagle; a sister, Beverly Doremus of Grand Junction; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
