FRANK (DOT) BEDELL BURIED IN McCOY SUNDAY.
Funeral services were held at the McCoy Community Church October 14 for Frank (Dot) BEDELL who died in the Veterans Hospital in Grand Junction, October 10, where he had been a patient since last July.
Mr. BEDELL was born in Mound Valley, Kans. Dec. 14, 1889, and spent his childhood in Illinois. In 1909, he came to Colorado and on Nov. 26, 1925, he was married to Elizabeth QUINLAN in Denver.
Mr. BEDELL served during the first World War as machine gun sergeant in Belgium, France and Germany, and was one of eight of the lucky men from his company to return home to continue serving his country.
Following his marriage he turned to farming in the McCoy area, spending much time in promoting community projects, foremost among which was construction of the McCoy church.
Because of his failing health, the family moved to Copper Spur in 1936 where he became postmaster and served in that capacity until February, 1955, when he retired.
During World War II, being in poor health and unable to served with the Armed Forces, he became a guard at Bond.
He was a member of the Last Squad, VFW, Masonic lodge and the American Legion, in which he currently held the office of Commander of Yarmony Post.
He leaves behind, his wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Dorothy FOELLER of the home; and Virginia WHEELER of Steamboat Springs; one grandson; four sisters: Mrs. Mae GRIMES, Mrs. Emma SHUPP, Mrs. Daisy DUNNINGTON and Mrs. Maude HOPWOOD; one brother Arthur Dick BEDELL and many nieces and nephews.

FRANK BEDELL SERVICES IN McCOY SUNDAY.
Frank BEDELL, long time resident of McCoy died at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Junction hospital today, following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at the Community Church in McCoy Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. The funeral will be directed by Bowman Funeral Home of Eagle.
