VICTOR ALBERT BERGSTRESER 1922-2005.
Long-time Eagle County resident Victor BERGSTRESER died June 18.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 24, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Gypsum. He was born in Flaxton, N.D., on July 27, 1922, to Gustav and Marie BERGSTRESER. BERGSTRESER was the 13th of 14 children in the family.
He was a Navy veteran, who served during World War II.
BERGSTRESER was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor Marie BERGSTRESER. The family had lived in Sweetwater for many years. His parents and 10 brothers and sisters also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, daughter Judy McEVITT and her husband, John, of Arvada, son Brian BERGSTRESER and his wife, Pam, of Gypsum; and daughter Jerilyn THIEL and her husband, Greg, of Centennial, Colo. Grandchildren are Brenna, Kelly and Sean McEVITT; Mathew and Andrew BERGSTRESER; and Amber and Tyler THIEL.
He is also survived by a brother, Otto BERGSTRESER, of Arvada, Colo.; and two sisters, Darlene ANDERSON of Tioga, N.D. and Esther SWENSON of Port Angeles, Wash.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent to the United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 546, Eagle, Colo., 81631.
The family extends thanks to everyone for love and care during this difficult time.
