RUBY BRALLIER DIED MONDAY. The lower Eagle Valley was shocked and saddened Monday with the news of the sudden death of Mrs. Grant BRALLIER, one of Gypsum's most prominent women.
Mrs. BRALLIER underwent surgery in Glenwood last week, and was thought to be recovering satisfactorily, when she passed away Monday night at 9:45.
Mrs. BRALLIER had taken a leading role in church and club activities in the Gypsum-Eagle area, since she came to Gypsum in 1949 when Mr. BRALLER was transferred to the Eagle County Airport, as chief. After living in the government housing development in Gypsum a few years, Mr. and Mrs. BRALLIER bought a home adjoining the Kenneth GERARD home on Gypsum Creek. When the home burned to the ground they rebuilt on the same site.
Ruby Anne BOWER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence BOWER, was born April 13, 1912 at Columbia City, Ind., spending her childhood there and in Winter Park, Fla.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors are her husband; two sons: Jan H. of Denver and Kent and one daughter, Linda, who are both enrolled at Eagle Valley High School in Gypsum. Also surviving are her parents and one brother, Dallas K., of Winter Park, Fla., and a brother, Mark of Orlando Fla.
Farnum Mortuary of Glenwood Springs is in charge of funeral arrangements and Reverend H. C. MOORHEAD will have the service at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Gypsum Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Gypsum.
